STR are currently seeking a Registered General Nurse (RGN) to work at a busy nursing home in the Essex area.

The role will see you undertake the leadership of the shift supporting care staff and ensuring that all resident clinical needs are met whilst on duty. This will include dispensing and auditing medication, co-ordinating and updating care plans and undertaking assessment of needs throughout the shift. In addition, you will be required to liaise with outside agencies such as GP's as necessary, ensuring that all relevant procedures are adhered to and reports updated as required. You will be counted as part of the floor numbers so will be expected to provide hands on care to residents as required.

The home is part of a nationwide provider of care to older people and as such there are opportunities to progress and undertake further training within specialist areas.

At present the role will be full time of 36.75 hours and will be to work nights, in return they are looking to offer £20000 - £22000 per annum Dependent on experience.

Applicants must be a Registered General Nurse (RGN) with a valid NMC PIN and will ideally have previous nursing home experience.
